This is a place for you and your family to grab beautiful souvenirs originally made by the locals.

We love the community, we give back to the community through Access Local, a craft shop that has given the community an avenue to exhibit their works. Just along the pathway to the restaurant is Access Local Craft Shop located at the First Sipi Falls Ngasire, an initiative established to help support local communities and organized groups that have talent and can transform Bi- products around them into everyday useful products.

We are mindful of the community and environment while producing environmentally good products that are equally unharmful or good for your health.

We support local arts men, women, and children by collecting all their works and displaying them at our local Craft shop for sale. The home entails a wide range of proudly and locally made products from talented artists who have never had any formal education or seen any blackboard as one might say ‘but with amazing skills and talents, this includes women, men, and children. Using eco-friendly materials, the craft shop itself has been built using local materials. Designs ranging from paper beads jewelry, necklaces, earrings and bungles, bags, gorilla masks, chess etc. are made and sold at the shop.

How you can make a difference?

We work directly with the local artisans. So, when you buy crafts made by locals from Access Local Craft Shop, a huge impact is made, as most of the proceeds go back to the community to support their families. We have also created employment opportunities in the community. One of our sales representatives was recently employed to educate our visitors about our products proudly made by locals.

Some of the items are purchased from struggling old women who strive very hard to take care of their families as most of them have been rejected or sent away by their husbands. ‘I make sure, I make very many of these matts so I can get good sales “, said Lillian Chemutai, an elderly local woman who makes matts and bead necklaces. Through our online marketing, these locally made pieces have gained international recognition and connections from buyers abroad. To maintain a fair trade, we directly purchase and work with the local artists in the region and other parts of the country.
