Brief tour description 

This unique budget and private wildlife tour in Uganda, “The Pearl of Africa” will expose you to major Africa safari experiences like the gorilla &chimp trek, the world’s oldest and most powerful waterfall, cultural encounters, hikes, beautiful scenery, rafting/kayak, horse ride/quad bike, game drives for the big 5 and boat cruise adventures that will excite and definitely meet your bucket list. All these will take place in multiple parks like Bwindi Impenetrable NP, Kibale NP, and Queen Elizabeth NP through central, western, and south Uganda.

Day 1: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe

You shall be warmly welcomed by our guide upon arrival at Entebbe international airport and driven to Entebbe/Kampala for an overnight stay, however, some activities may be suggested at a cost in case time allows between arrival and dinner time depending on the client’s preference. Dinner and overnight stay at the Airport guest house.

Day 2: Transfer to Hoima-Rhino trekking

Arise to a beautiful morning, have breakfast, and escape from the city noise to the calm and serene countryside for Rhino tracking ranch located in Nakasongola district. The long-term goal of the sanctuary is to “build a sustainable rhinoceros population and relocate rhinos back to their original habitat in Uganda’s protected areas” We will then have lunch, relax at your lodge and enjoy bonding with nature. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3:  Top of the Falls hike and afternoon Boat Cruise

Begin your travel to Murchison falls national park, where upon arrival shall have a tasteful lunch and drive to the top of the falls for a hike but this time with a twist and this is how; head to the top of the falls and from there we descend to the bottom of the falls enjoy the view and ascend back up to the top and further enjoy the view even more. The hike is a little challenging because of the slope and the getting back up but that’s where the magic and fun are! Are you up for the challenge? Then let’s test our stamina doing this woohoo! We shall enjoy the all-time priceless view of the mighty Murchison falls national park and thereafter Have freshly prepared lunch and proceed to the Nile for a 2 hours boat cruise that exposes you to water animals like hippos, Nile crocodiles, and other animals on the river banks that come to feed or escape from the scorching sun like elephants and buffaloes not forgetting amazing bird views like kingfishers and fish eagles can also be spotted, enjoy the feel of the countryside, Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Full Day Game drive

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive into one of Uganda’s most popular parks and explore animals in the wild, especially in the morning when they are at their full strength that is in terms of hunting and relating among their kind. This is a great opportunity to view early risers and will give you a great opportunity to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards if lucky, warthogs, and antelopes among other animals in the park not just birds and litters of beautiful tree species, a wonderful scenery is what we look forward to as we snake our way through this magnificent park, later head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 5: Transfer to Fort Portal

Start off your day by having an early morning breakfast and head southwest of Uganda for Kibale national park, which is approximately a 5-hour drive while enjoying the scenic view of the western arm of the Great Rift Valley during your travel. On reaching the beautiful town of Fort Portal, you shall indulge in a city tour, visit caves, and cultural sites like the breasts of Nyinamwiru traditionally known as “Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru” and even hike to the crater lakes. Have dinner and an overnight stay at Chimp view guest house or Kibale forest camp.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and community visit

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, head to Kibale national park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking and then slope into the forest looking for chimpanzees while there, you shall be able to view primates like chimpanzees, the black and white colobus monkeys, the bush baby among other primates and their other ways of living. Enjoy your packed lunch and after go for a community visit where you visit different homesteads and take deep into the culture and the day-to-day life of the locals. Have dinner and an overnight stay at Chimp view guest house or Kibale forest camp.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Evening game drive

Wake-up call from the beautiful sounds of birds in the park, Enjoy an early morning breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park with famous wildlife like hippos, buffaloes, elephants, kobs, a number of bird species not forgetting the famous tree climbing lions spotted clinging on old fig trees within the Ishasha sector. Have a mouth-watering lunch at the lodge and later have an evening game drive. Refresh and after enjoy your dinner and an overnight stay at the Bush Lodge.

Day 8: Game Drive and Afternoon Launch Cruise at Kazinga Channel

Wake up to a hearty breakfast and head for a game drive. The park supports 4 of the big fives that are; lion, leopard, elephant, and buffaloes besides that there are spotted hyenas, water bucks, Uganda Kobs, and warthogs not forgetting birds most of which are found in the Albertan rift valley. The park also has the highest bio-diversity rating in the world from savannah to rain forest, later have lunch and head to Mweya for a jetty boat cruise in the afternoon at Kazinga Channel a habitat to Nile crocodiles, hippos, and bird species among others. This is one of the most preferred activities because it gives you a great view of the birds and mammals. Kazinga channel connects Lakes Edward and George as well as acting as the drinking point for numerous animals in the park. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the Bush Lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy a warm breakfast later, head to Bwindi Impenetrable national park a home of the mountain gorillas accessible through four sectors, Ruhija, Buhoma, Nkuringo and Rushaga of which gorilla tracking may be done in one of the sectors depending on the availability and may also take up to 8hrs depending on the location of the Gorillas but today we relax at our lodge upon arrival and prepare for that magical experience tomorrow.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your delicious breakfast with packed lunch, you shall go for a briefing at the park headquarters about gorilla tracking, after hiking into the forest in search of the fascinating mountain gorillas. Get a chance to look at their deep rare eyes, and the way they feed among other interesting things about the ancient apes that are endangered in the world. Gorilla tracking can take up to 8 hours depending on the kind of weather and where the gorillas are at that particular time. Bwindi features a minimum of 400 gorillas in which 12 gorilla groups are habituated for trekking, there are 4 regions from which one can trek that is; Ruhija, Buhoma, Nkuringo, and Rushaga. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo National Park with an impressive journey that rewards you with ever green scenery, long horned cattle and a people with rich culture. Upon arrival we check into our Lodge and head for a beautiful game drive where may encounter animals like Zebras, Antelopes, many bird pieces and much more.

Day 12: Transfer to Kampala

After breakfast, you shall drive to Kampala city and then Mukono, upon arrival at your hotel, takes a nice evening to enjoy the cozy weather at that time you may opt to go swimming, enjoy the view of the gardens or simply relax in your room as you warm up for tomorrow’s outrageous activity. Later, have dinner and overnight.

Day 13: White Water Rafting / Kayaking (select 1 option)

Wake up to a beautiful morning and a treat to delicious breakfast after; we go rafting an extremely exciting adventure. The rapids are so wild that they will leave you challenged and screaming for more, get wet as you enjoy the ultimate experience because it certainly is a great way to let it all out and free up or you may choose kayaking as the other option a wonderful adventure that gives a great experience as well. Facing huge wave trains, crashing white water, and powerful hydraulics, it’s a team effort between you and your guide to make it through all of the rapids successfully. For those who like the idea of having their own craft, taking on the white water truly down at river level and getting the best experience, or simply for those who have done rafting before and want to step it up, tandem kayaking is perfect. (Select 1 option) Also, we may go to the source of the Nile if you are not too exhausted.

Day 14: City tour and Later Horseback Riding/Quad Biking

Enjoy your freshly prepared breakfast and we head for another marvelous day of adventure. Jinja is a wonderful town to visit with great culture, history, and friendly people and today we visit the Nile breweries makers of the Nile beer, the traveler’s number 1 choice beer. It gives a great experience to see how this beer is brewed, after which we shall have a walking tour around Jinja town availing us to see the fresh food market and the souvenir shops. Later, we go horseback riding to enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the banks of the Nile, snake through villages into sugar cane and tea plantations or you may choose the other option which is quad biking this adventure still takes you through the forest, farms, plantations, and the villages. Enjoy your ride through the red soils while in Uganda. By far the best way to close a safari in Uganda-Africa so let’s do it together! (Select 1 activity).

Day 15: Entebbe International Airport

Today is our final day of the trip, enjoy your breakfast. After we shall head to Entebbe town, have lunch and stretch our drive to the airport.

It is not possible to ‘reserve’ gorilla tracking permits. Therefore we can only purchase them only after you have booked and the down payment is made.

The bookings with the lodge are mentioned in the itinerary depending on availability. Reservations will only be made after your booking. Just in case the hotels listed are fully booked during the requested period, we will let you know and then book a hotel of the same standard for you

Transport

Our standard safari vehicle offered for budget and mid-range tours is a 4wd Safari Van with a pop-up sunroof with each passenger can have a seat near a window.

If you wish to up things a bit and get an even smoother ride, then you can opt for an upgraded vehicle for your travel. For this, we use a full-size 4wd Toyota Land cruiser

Travelling with 1-4 people is often preferred and suitable for African safari because of the terrain besides that, it is an elevated durable and pop-up roof that will reward you with a great view.

We also have 4wd Extended Toyota Land Cruiser Travelling which seats 5-6 people and is spacious, elevated, and strong with a pop-up sunroof for exceptional views and a fridge inside to keep our drinks cool.
