Uganda Wildlife Authority, (UWA) governs and manages all 10 National Parks; 12 Wildlife reserves in and outside the protected areas; 5 Community Wildlife Management Areas; and 13 Wildlife Sanctuaries. Apart from that the wildlife authority also does Ecosystem Management, Promotes Protected Areas as Tourism Destinations, Community Conservation Activities, Problem Animal Management, and Licensing for Wildlife Use, Wildlife Resource Protection, Monitoring & Research
The ten remarkable National Parks managed by the Uganda wildlife authority include Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, Semuliki, Lake Mburo, Rwenzori Mountains, Kidepo Valley, Kibale, Mount Elgon, Mgahinga Gorilla, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks. These parks display the best in East Africa. Their Rift Valley landscapes and tropical forests make dramatic backdrops to an extensive variety of flora and fauna.
For solo travelers, the wildlife authority also owns vehicles that can be hired together with a guide to go for the game drives at a cost not that alone the wildlife authority also owns affordable accommodation facilities compared to private accommodation facilities on a budget end, and campsites always guarded by armed and well-trained rangers for those who just love the authentic touch of natural sleep and cub sounds of wildlife often head grazing and just busy at night.
